Voting & Polling
A mobile Voting Campaign and Polling Campaign asks customers for feedback or to vote on a particular issue of concern. It also allows for very targeted list-building and helps you to better understand your customers. Once customers reply, they can then be further targeted with follow up messages by segmenting them in Groups based on their responses (see Groups).
EXAMPLE: Text KEYWORD to SHORTCODE
Text PIZZA to 79274 to vote for your favorite pizza topping!
MESSAGE:
Frank's Pizza wants to know your favorite topping. Reply A, B, C or D.
A) Pepperoni
B) Mushroom
C) Sausage
D) Extra Cheese
Text-to-Vote
Want to know quickly what people think? Do it by text. Have people text in to vote.
Text-to-Win
Give people the ability to text in and win. Each respondent is tracked in the Marketing Center to randomly select a winner.
Data Collection & Surveys
Want to use more sophisticated methods of data collection? Have participants text in to vote and then send them a next one. With Data Segmenting, the list can be further broken down by how people respond.
How to Create a Voting & Polling Campaign:
- Name the campaign.
- Select a Keyword (from a list of available terms).
- Create the Vote or Poll by choosing a question.
- Enter the Variables (reply A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 or 1a, 1b, 1c, etc)
- Save & Schedule the campaign.
TIPS:
The most common responses are "A, B, C or D" or "1, 2, 3, or 4". Once a customer replies, you can send back the current results ("13 people voted for A") or a Thank You message. Additional interactions can be encouraged such as "Now reply with [KEYWORD] to learn more about..." and direct them to the next campaign.
